And no subway station near my workplace. Perfect.

Thank you for your nice reply. Jianguo Road seems a bit too far from where we are going to work (at Dynamic City Foundation, just next to the 798 Space - Dashanzi Art District -, in the North-East part of Beijing) although I still have to check how it is connected. The problem is that I'm not able to find a subway map that overlays with the Beijing street map.

Thank you again. =)

Hi Luca, The suggestion you have been given is a valid one. One potential issue with living near by in Chaoyang district is the cost of apartments / therefore rents. You should be able to find lower cost rent south of Jianguo Road (South of GuoMao / China World area). One other thing to consider is proximity to the subway lines. Look on the Beijing subway map on-line and see what line goes near by your future place of employment and then what apartment building is near by another stop of the same line.

I couldn't find any direct contact link, so I'm going to write here (and sorry for my not-so-perfect English).

I read your blog with much interested and I noticed you often encourage at asking you some questions about China. Well, I have some. =)

We (me and four other guys) will leave to Beijing in October and we are looking for an apartment to live there for 4 months.
We are going to work in Chaoyang District (Jiuxianqiao Road) and we do not know where it's best to live in Beijing, knowing nothing about its districts. Someone online suggests to find a place as close as possible to where you work.
Any suggestions?
